Why I Like Working Here

Image
I like working at Witch's Rock Surf Camp. Not because there are waves and Joe lets me use a board if they are good and my board is at home (though those things help) but because, for the most part, our guests are awesome. So now comes the big Thank You to Albert, Maya, Brendan, Lindy, Sean, Johnny, Mike, Julie, Chris and Jennifer. They helped make last week AWESOME. Here's a photo of some of them from July 4: Julie, Johnny, Albert, Lindy, Sean and Mike Thanks again for coming down and making sure that everyone (other guests and the staff) had a great week.

Surf Wedding

Image
We here at Witch's Rock Surf Camp would love to extend big ups to the Gallaghers. Deb and Brian got married right out front of the camp last February. It was a casual cerimony followed by a bonfire. We here were honored that they thought of us for their big day and they were kind enough to let us share their wedding pics with you.

What It's All About... (a Post by Yana)

Sometimes we're so focused on all the new stuff happening at Witch's Rock Surf Camp, we forget to mention the classics...like the whole reason this place was founded in the first place; taking surfers out to Witch's and Ollie's by boat to experience stunning waves in pristine nature. While these trips may have become normal for Witch's Rock Surf Camp, there's nothing standard about the classic boat trip to Witch's, and I was stoked to be able to head out there with my old friend Dave Ferrone, his friend Claudia, Mark "Bon Jovi" From Jersey (c'mon, you know you belted it out at Karaoke!), and Andres from WRSC. Here are a few snapshots, no epic action (sorry, see explanation below) but still they might give a taste of how bewitching a place Witch's Rock really is. Claudia Sorry I'm not a braver photographer. If I was, I would have strapped the big orange dry-case on my back and paddled into the beach through the waves with a bunch of ...

Good Vibes for John

John Canter Witch's Rock and the Schneiderman family would like to give a shout out to John Canter. He's been an awesome guest, a blast to surf with and he's been catching some sick waves. It's been a great having him here and we hope to see him back soon. Pura Vida!

5th Time Return Guests - Thank you Marco, Brenda and Family

Image
Adios to our 5th Time Gold Return Guests - Marco, Brenda, Eduardo, Rafa and Enrique. This family who comes every year to WRSC from the Canary Islands, just left from yet another memorable three week vacation. We wanted to show how much we appreciated their visits, by letting them pick out a brand new WRSC board to take home with them. These boys first started to learn to surf while on vacation with us, and now all three of them are rippers. We love having them down here with us, as they have become family to all of us down here. If you ever find yourself in Tenerife, Spain, Marco is the proud owner of Churrasqueria Rodeo, which now has two locations in both the North and South. There website is currently down, but this is it www.churrasqueriarodeo.com once it is working. The pics of the dishes make my mouth water just looking at them. Once again, Marco, Brenda + Family, thank you for coming year and year out, we really appreciate your return visits and it is really sad to...

Special thanks to Rafa Sandoval

A big PURA VIDA to WRSC Senior Photographer Rafa Sandoval. Rafa has been with Witch's Rock Surf Camp for almost five years. In this time he has learned to be an excellent photographer, a solid surf guide, and an asset to our Guest Relations department. Witch's Rock Surf Camp is very lucky to have Rafa on our team. Here's an email we just received this morning from a recent guest: "Hola, please pass this message to Rafael. Rafa, I must say the pics you took totally rocked. I really didn't appreciate them until I got home. You are so my hero and made me look so good. All my bros are like "no way!" Thanks again for hooking me up, you are definitely another good reason to stay at WRSC. Tell Joe I said that! Pura vida and all the best, Bernardo"
